My name is Mariam.  I am a stay at home mom to three boys, living in SF bay area.  I am also a tech widow (married 12 years to my best friend) and a cancer mom.  Our boys are 10-year old Cameron, should be 8-year old Connor, and 2-year old Liam.  In February 2010, our son Connor was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).  He lived 16 months after diagnosis and died in June 2011 at the age of five.

Why I share….

The parenting journey for me has been filled with humility, gratitude and deep sorrow.  In the past three years since our son died, I have reexamined what’s important and have developed a new perspective on life.   I share our family, our sons and our loss.  I will share grief and memories of our son Connor because that’s all we have left.  There are no tomorrows for him.  I will also share lighter moments of my love of food (cooking), our family and our wonderful friendships.
